An Advanced certification is becoming the industry standard for commercial drone operations. With an Advanced license and a completed flight review, you can:
Operate in controlled airspace.
Fly near or over bystanders with the right drone and permissions.
Work commercially in any environment.
Apply for a Special Flight Operations Certificate to fly higher and farther than standard regulations allow.
Open to individuals aged 16 and above.
To earn your Advanced RPAS certificate, you'll need to meet two requirements: pass the Transport Canada Advanced Exam with a score of at least 80%, and complete a hands-on flight review with a certified examiner.
